Djzx3. Well for one, the Zetec blocks are iron, the Duratec blocks are Aluminum. I own both, the 03 zx3 Duratec 2.3L PZEV manual, and 2.0L Zetec DOHC Auto in my 00 wagon. The 2.3l is much funner. And in my mind, more reliable. Not to say the Zetec isn't reliable either, but I do feel more things go wrong on it.

The 3.0L Duratec is one of the most reliable V6s of all time, it doesn't get credit because it never made a lot of power from the factory and people complained it wasn't as smooth as some of the newer V6s. They are robust engines that are capable of making a lot of power though, this can be seen in the Nobles. One is a 01' 2.3 Lima, the other a 02' Duratec.
